Eco-Print Bandana Workshop - June 21

Eco-Print Bandana Workshop - June 21
Eco-Printed Bandana Workshop
Botanical printing with flowers + leaves (and a big, satisfying reveal)
Come make wearable art with plants.
Eco-printing (also called botanical printing) is a process where real leaves and flowers are bundled against fabric and steamed, allowing their natural pigments and tannins to transfer into the cloth. The result is a one-of-a-kind print—part garden memory, part alchemy. People love plant dyeing because it’s hands-on, sensory, and surprisingly magical: instead of choosing a color from a bottle, you’re collaborating with the living world.
In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of eco-printing on cotton and go home with a versatile bandana you can wear, gift, or frame.
What we’ll do
You’ll receive a cotton bandana that has been pre-mordanted so your botanical prints become permanent
We’ll wet out the fabric, then lay out leaves and flowers together to build your design
We’ll bundle the bandanas for steaming
After steaming, we’ll unbundle and reveal the prints (the best part!)
Class flow
1.5 hours of learning, designing + bundling
60-minute break while the bundles steam
Return to unbundle + reveal together
