The days are long; the years are short…
The time is now to slow down and create
a deliberate life
One of the things I found out early on as a single mother and earth-centric artist was that if I followed the path of success I was told to want, I’d never enjoy the vision I had for my life, I’d miss my kid's’ precious childhoods… and I’d be too stressed to relish this incredible, mysterious existence that IS life!
I discovered a self-determination in me to live life on my own terms, and I decided to nurture it. I’ve come to believe we all have this deep reservoir of power within…
You get to decide who you are and defy convention to create a life that feels soulful, rich and nourishing to you.
I knew that I was up against a stark cultural narrative… a single mother of three, no college degree, widowed.
I couldn’t bear to let these three facts limit me or supersede everything else I knew to be true about myself.
Shifts began when I started living in alignment with my dream life as much as I could, making choices from potential instead of limitation.. This kind of mindfulness was not a privilege that came easily, but it’s been essential for cultivating self-determination amidst so many outer challenges.
Now, my passion is helping you to do the same. I’m right here with you, still making mistakes, still facing challenges and definitely still healing. So I don’t have all the answers. But I can help you make some powerful decisions and guide you to embracing strengths you didn’t know you had.
The power to decide lives within all of us. As soon as you decide to live a deliberate, self-determined life, honoring your needs and values, you will feel things lighten and change, opening up a new world of possibilities…
This goes for youth, families and communities as much as for individuals. Explore my Family Crest :Program, Read My Full Story & Find recent posts & events below.
I’ll be seeing you out and about in this wild world.

100% cotton field and farm pocket dress is botanically printed with pigment rich flowers and leaves that are in season in my own dye garden with a natural background. This item is made to order.
Custom orders ask of the wearer to allow some creative freedom for the artist. Because I’m working with almost exclusively elements from nature, I can never be sure exactly how it will turn out. That’s half the fun of it! What you can know is you’ll be getting a piece that is a mirror of that particular day in my garden as I pick the flowers and leaves just minutes before rolling and steaming the garment.
Some botanical prints come out like a watercolor painting, while others are crisp and detailed. This dress presents crisp and detailed like an oil painting of my garden that particular day. It is mirror printed with black magic bachelor buttons, cosmos, and crocosmia, giving rich deep blues and greens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This sleeveless dress is made of durable 100% combed cotton jersey (5.3 oz/sq yd) and sewn with care in the U.S.A. It features a double needle stitched neckline and hems. The length is between ankle and calf depending on your height. You’ll love the convenience of the two sturdy patch pockets. This is an extremely comfortable and practical loose fitting dress that softens but doesn’t deteriorate with age.

Choose your size from the dropdown menu below. Field and farm dresses run true to size. The bust is fitted, so if you have a large bust, consider going a size up.
No returns on custom orders. Please feel free to contact me for exact sizing recommendations.

My botanically printed garments go through more than 11 processes from start to finish. I grow many of the flowers and plants that I use. The fabric preparation process takes 3 to 6 steps and then there is the printing itself. The prints are the actual pigments from the plants, not a reproduction as in Screen Printing. Each item is truly one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.
Botanically printed garments hold up best if you hand wash them and hang them to dry, however machine washing on a gentle cycle in cool water is fine too.
