Harvest sulphur cosmos, dyer’s coreopsis, indigo and pincushion flowers from my garden and print their floral signature onto a cotton handkerchief. We will be using the Japanese printmaking technique, Hapa Zome. Flower and leaf pigments are transferred to the cloth by hammering, leaving a detailed permanent print when your cloth is pre-mordanted. You will finish the workshop with your own 22”x22” cotton hanky that can be worn as a head scarf, neck scarf or face covering.
Pre-mordanted hanky included in class fee.
