Hypertufa Pots 2

In the first class, we used plastic waste as forms for creating small plant pots with a mixture of peat moss or paper pulp, Portland cement, and sand or vermiculite. Natural elements such as moss, sticks, mushrooms, and dried flowers were used to embellish the forms. In class number 2, we will add additional embellishments to the pots using pressed flowers, watercolors, and two different types of washes.

Eco-Art Open Studios with Sunny are an opportunity to enjoy a brief lesson on a particular medium and have ample time to just play in the studio. Each session will start with a demonstration followed by open studio time to work on your project from this session or a previous session. All materials are provided for a simple project to practice the medium. For folks who want to go further, additional materials will be available for purchase. These events are designed to introduce participants to various forms of Eco-Art and supplement larger workshop offerings.

Open studios are held on Wednesdays from 3-5pm.
