Tree of Paradise grows all over the US with its large shade giving palm like leaves that some folks say smell like guacamole. I love the way the leaves are large enough to cover an entire dress as if the wearer were standing under the tree in moonlight and the leaves are just a shadow . This botanical print is subtle and understated and a great choice for those who prefer a more organized print layout.

This dress is made from the same substantial 5.3 oz. 100% Cotton Jersey as the Field & Farm dress, but is more curvy & stylish. You’ll love the innovative pocket design in a flattering curved front seam. A very comfortable dress that looks great on many body types. The short sleeves are just long enough to conceal and short enough for summer comfort. The asymmetric hem gives it enough flare to wear from practical work to an evening on the town. This durably constructed dress features self fabric binding at the neck and double needle hemmed sleeves and bottom hem.

My botanically printed garments go through more than 11 processes from start to finish. I grow many of the flowers and plants that I use. The fabric preparation process takes 3 to 6 steps and then there is the printing itself. The prints are the actual pigments from the plants, not a reproduction as in Screen Printing. Each item is truly one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.

Botanically printed garments hold up best if you hand wash them and hang them to dry, however machine washing on a gentle cycle in cool water is fine too.
